About Me

Celebrating Lifes Chapters 20_edited.jpg

Why did I choose to become a celebrant?

Throughout my life, I have attended many funerals, each one a deeply personal farewell, a moment where love, loss, and remembrance combine. In those spaces of grief and reflection, I have noticed the profound role of the celebrant—their words, their presence, their ability to shape the atmosphere. A compassionate celebrant doesn’t just guide a ceremony; they hold space for the rawest of emotions, allowing sorrow to soften into cherished memories and final goodbyes to be filled with love.

This emotional responsibility is not one I take lightly. I understand that a funeral is not just about marking an ending; it is about honouring a life, capturing the essence of a person in a way that brings both comfort and closure to those left behind. My commitment is to help families say farewell in a way that feels right for them—with warmth, with a story that sparks a smile through the tears, and with a sense of peace that lingers long after the day has passed.

In grief, we search for something to hold onto—a moment, a memory, a final gesture of love. As a celebrant, I strive to create that moment, ensuring that each goodbye is filled not just with loss, but with gratitude for a life that was lived and loved. My hope is that, even in the midst of heartache, families can walk away with a gentle sense of comfort, carrying their loved one forward in their heart and mind, forever a part of their journey.

About me

I have successfully run my own social media agency for 10 years and felt ready for a change of direction and career. My business is structured so that I can manage my diary and I have capacity to pursue my new role.

I am a qualified trainer with experience of designing lesson plans which involve timing lessons to the minute. Throughout my 30 year professional career, I have written and delivered training to over 2,000 delegates and have experience and confidence in speaking to large and small groups; using my voice to inflect tone, authority and humour when required. This has given me experience of remaining calm when things go wrong - usually with technology!

As a marketeer, I have the skills required to craft a story and convey a message succinctly but with depth of feeling; to condense a lifetime of anecdotes and experiences into a short time window and retain warmth and empathy to your loved one.
